We are SUPER excited to offer a brand new YEAR LONG Train and Play program for Players born in the years 2019-2016! This program is designed as an ‘alongside’ of the IP programs run by your GLHA organizations.
DATES:
The program will now run in TWO SESSIONS (you do not need to do both – you will sign up for each individually) Session 1 runs from OCTOBER 14th to December 15th. (9 weeks)
Session 2 runs from January 6th March 9th. (9 weeks)
Times will primarily be on Saturday OR Sunday. Because we own our own rink, we have lots of flexibility and will schedule times around your home organization’s schedules once they are released.
PLEASE REGISTER USING THE LINK ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR HOME ORGANIZATION. (ex. If you are in North London and are a 2016, use the 2016 North London link to register. This will guarantee your schedules do not conflict.
SKILL LEVELS;
The Train and Play program will have two tiers – A high skill level for early developing skaters, and a second tier for those skaters who are still finding their stride!
FORMAT
Players will be put into similar skill levels as above. Each group will have 8 skaters. Sessions will be 50 mins in length. The breakdown of that 50 mins is as follows;
0:00 – 0:25 – Skill development with Ryan Foster and one of our Junior studio coaches.
0:25 -0:37 – Period 1 of our unique “coached” 2v2 game
0:38 – 0:50 – Period 2 of independent 2v2 play.
Coaches will be on the ice coaching the kids during game play. There will be no score, and teams will be changed each week and decided upon at each skate. Players will only play within their own group.
REGISTRATION:
If you have a group of 8 skaters who would all like to be together – no problem! We can accommodate you and book your group into your preferred day and time slot. (First booked, First choice on time/day).
Individuals are welcome to register and we will create groups based on age and skill level.
Goalies will be welcome to register at a discounted fee as there is currently no goalie coaching offered in this program.(*subject to change)
However, you do not need a goalie to register and goalies do not count towards one of your 8 spots. We also have equipment if anyone wants to goalie one week!
If you have your own group of 8 players, please email us at thehockeystudio@outlook.com to be first on the time/day list. We will send a special link to register your group.
SPACES ARE LIMITED TO ONLY 8 players from each age group/skill level/organization. If demands exceed spaces we will try to add more times – but no guarantees we can accommodate more groups. Don’t delay!
COST;
$399 plus hst per player, per session (That’s just $44 per skate for a full season of development and a guaranteed spot. No scrambling to find a session that fits!)
Each session includes 9 weeks of training and gameplay.
